Update for 2023

Hey Everyone, it’s been a while since I last posted an update on this blog; long story short, it has been many months of resting the hand and adapting to life changes. My general inactivity has lead me to consider archiving this blog.

Back when I last wrote a post in June, the wrist had been out of commission since March; by September, my wrist had gotten back to about 70%, which was when I had begun going back to school for industrial design. You can probably guess where most of my time was focused on, besides trying to keep the wrist from deteriorating further. At this point, my wrist had gone back to about 97%; I can do most of the things I remember doing with my right hand, except that it doesn’t have the same range of motion. A slight stiffness at the base of the thumb remains, especially when temperatures are cold outside.

This lengthy recovery has made me realize that the kinds of projects I can make are probably limited at this point; I can already tell that giant crocheted projects are a thing of the past for me. As a hobby, my pacing with crocheting has basically been put on hold until further notice.

As for patterns in general, I’d like to think that some day they would be completed into a digital format; however, my online activity has dropped significantly and I can’t promise that I’ll be able to respond in a timely fashion. For this reason, I have taken down the shop pages – the free patterns will remain available on this blog.

Anyways, thanks for reading this short update; I hope my previous posts will provide inspiration for future projects!
