Hey everyone, I thought I’d like to make an update about how things have been going in general. As usual, it’s about having a ton of plans and no time to do them all.

Continue reading “More Updates (3.26.2020)”Happy new year! I can’t believe I’ve managed to maintain this blog for a full year – I’m hoping to keep it going, as usual.
Here’s looking back on 2019, as well as what I’m hoping to get into for 2020.
Continue reading “Onwards to 2020”Another hectic couple weeks, and a couple more to go! I wish I could say that I’m back on track, but there’s so much left to do this year.
Continue reading “Update 12.10.2019”Having the daylight set so early during this time of the year throws me off pretty badly! I go to work for 7:00 a.m. and then I come back, starting at 4:00 p.m. or later; my body keeps thinking that I need to sleep soon after the sun sets.

I must say, 2018 was a rollercoaster of a year for me. So many things happened, yet it all went by so quickly.
This year, I hope to complete even more projects; I’ve got some ideas that I’d like to share on this blog.
Continue reading “Good-bye, 2018”About a year ago, I had been commissioned to make a wedding cake topper for a friend of mine. This is the first time I’ve ever made a full sculpture, complete with an armature – it was an interesting learning curve to tackle for the year.
Continue reading “Completed: Pokemon-themed Wedding Cake Topper”I thought I’d share some mini canvas paintings I did for the holidays:
Each canvas was painted with Turner acryl-gouache paint, which dries relatively quick compared to my regular acrylics. Lately I’ve been using this paint set more often for its “rose” colour – I find it easier to use to mix more vibrant purples and pinks.
This time around I was focusing on adding texture to background elements – as you can see, some turned out better than others. Overall, it was a nice speed paint session to get me motivated to make more art next year.

Hey there!
My name is Lexy, and I like to make a bunch of arts and crafts, and cook with recipes.
On this blog, I’m going to be posting lots of my rough notes and w.i.p.’s; we’ll see where this takes me.
