Good-bye, 2018

Happy new year!

I must say, 2018 was a rollercoaster of a year for me. So many things happened, yet it all went by so quickly.

This year, I hope to complete even more projects; I’ve got some ideas that I’d like to share on this blog.

I’d like to recap a couple projects that I managed to complete last year:

1. Weighted blanket

A picture of a partially completed weighted blanket - it has 9 rows and 10 columns completed.

I made a weighted blanket early last year; it was about 22 lbs. I thought it was a nice sensation to feel during the night, but my partner thought it was too heavy.

2. Wizzrobe cosplay

Two cosplays of the Wizzrobe enemies from The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. They each have different hood colours - one in yellow and the other in maroon.

It was a good project to get myself back into making full-bodied cosplays. The past couple of years I had felt less motivated to make things in general; I hope I can change that this year.

Now that it’s 2019, I am aiming to post regularly on this blog. I’d like to post:

  • Completed projects
  • Works in progress
  • Some of my favourite old projects
  • Crochet patterns

I want to get back into as many hobbies as I can – my main hobbies had been sewing, knitting, and crochet; occasionally I would paint, make sculpey figures, and try out new techniques.

Here’s to another year!
