WIP: Amigurumi and Textile Plush – Concepts

Lately I’ve been challenging myself to come up with several new ideas to make for the year.

According to my sister, my favourite things to put on a plush are fur, spikes, claws, and wings – most of that is true. I grew up watching pokemon and digimon, so I’d say there’s a heavy influence. I also like mural art, like this bit I found in an ikea:

From the Old Toybox: Tangela Amigurumi

Every month I’d like to feature some of my favourite old plush toys that I’ve made over the years. This month, I am featuring my own version of the Tangela amigurumi!

I made this guy back in my university years, when storing different colours of yarn was easier than storing fabric; my favourite parts to make were the tangles, and then having to figure out where to place them on the head.
